Hallo und Willkommen!

The purpose of the Edelweiss Club is to establish and maintain a program of fun activities in order to perpetuate the German culture within the Treasure Valley area.

About Us

The club sprang from a gathering of German families at a picnic at the farm of Willy and Frieda Carstens in their big red barn at the corner of Franklin and Curtis Roads in Boise, Idaho in 1967.

Club meetings start at 6:00 pm on the 2nd Friday of each month at the Paramount Community Center 5695 N Fox Run Way Meridian ID 83646. Everyone attending brings a dish for potluck, which will be enjoyed prior to the meeting. Please bring your own beverage choice.

Meetings are somewhat formal but are kept short to allow for interaction among club members and to promote Gemütlichkeit, which includes singing and/or dancing to German music.
